Ya, I said it, Scrumptious Carnivore Quiche.

I was getting a little bored of my usual beef, butter, bacon and eggs and decided I wanted to try my hand at making a quiche. There are so many great keto recipes out there that I thought I better come up with a carnivore one!

Without further ado, I present this delicious recipe to you!

Supplies:

  • Mixing bowl

  • 9x9 baking dish

  • Whisk

  • Measuring cups & spoons

  • Rubber spatula

  • Frying pan

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs of ground beef

  • 1tsp garlic powder (optional, omit if strict carnivore)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional, omit if strict carnivore)

  • 1tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 6 whole eggs

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 3 strips of thick cut bacon, cut into small pieces (You could double this and add half to the ground beef and save the other half for the top of the quiche! Also super delicious!)

  • 1/2 -3/4c cup of grated cheese of choice (I used gruyere and parmesan. Cheddar or colby jack would also be delicious!)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.

  2. Cook your bacon bits and set aside in a bowl.

  3. In the same frying pan, cook all of your ground beef until no longer pink and well minced.

  4. Add your seasonings to the ground beef: garlic (if using), onion (if using), salt and pepper. Mix well cooking another minute or two to incorporate. (If you doubled the bacon, add half of it here, reserving the other half to top the quiche with.)

  5. Fill the bottom of the 9x9 baking dish with the ground beef.

  6. Grate your cheese over top of the meat and set aside.

  7. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream and sour cream. (I added an additional 1/4tsp of sea salt to this mixture!)

  8. Pour the egg mixture over top of the meat and cheese.

  9. Top with your bacon bits.

  10. Bake at 400F for 25 min or until golden brown.

  11. Serve hot with sour cream or on it's out!

  12. Store remaining portions in an air tight container in the fridge for up to one week (if it lasts that long!)
