Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

FROSTING. Who has always loved frosting? ME. I have always loved it more than cake - seriously, never been a big cake fan. This recipe for Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting began as an experiment to frost Carnivore Donuts and it has bloomed into this delicious, nourishing frosting! It is worth it to make it!


Supplies:

  • hand mixer or stand mixer

  • bowl (if using hand mixer)

  • measuring spoons

  • rubber spatula

  • optional: piping bag and tip

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (1/4 block) of cream cheese, room temp

  • 2 tbsp brown butter, room temp

  • 2 tsp Equip Prime Vanilla Protein Powder

  • Optional: 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract in place of Equip Prime, could also add 1/4 tsp cinnamon! You can also use a sweetener of choice instead of the Equip Prime protein.

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl.

  2. Whip until light and fluffy.

  3. Spread or pipe over Carnivore Donuts, Oopsie Cake, Carnivore Waffles, inside Carnivore Crêpes... You get the idea.

Store leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
